In order to secure comprehensive support of existing and new businesses, Trossingen’s business development is a staff function reporting directly to the mayor. Its main tasks are, among others:

• Arranging contacts for companies
• Regular visits to existing businesses together with the mayor in order to gather information about specific needs of the companies
• Assistance for and support of companies planning to establish a new business
• Provision of commercial real estate and premises
• Support regarding cooperation with public authorities; help in finding the competent contact persons

The Economic Forum was established for the businesspeople and founders of new businesses from Trossingen and it offers:

• The opportunity to get to know the companies and their range of products
• The possibility of establishing personal and business contacts
• Direct contact to the mayor or the business developer
