German Harmonica Museum Trossingen

The permanent exhibition shows harmonicas, accordions, reed organs, shengs, jew's harps, and other reed instruments. The thematic focus is on:

the history and production of harmonica instruments, economic, social and cultural aspects of the industry, harmonica design and harmonica packaging as a mirror of the zeitgeist, and the harmonica motif on art and kitsch objects.

 

Special attractions: the biggest playable button accordion of the world, harmonica rarities, reed organ musical instruments from the 19th century until today, the Hohner Magic Organa (a music automat with accordion and drums from 1931), and harmonicas perforated by bullets from both World Wars.

Every year there is a special exhibition.
