Trossingen - where nature and culture naturally unite

Did you know that the music town Trossingen is located in one of the sunniest regions of Germany? And did you know that the most extensive harmonica collection can be admired here at the Harmonica Museum? And that there are concerts and cabaret evenings at the former combined heat and power plant of the Hohner company?

Did you know that complete dinosaur skeletons, which were found in Trossingen, are exhibited in the Museum Auberlehaus (museum of local history)? And that the oldest electric train that is still ready to use in standard gauge can be viewed at the railroad museum?

Did you know that we do not serve sparkling wine and hors d'oeuvres at official events but red wine and Hefezopf (traditional plaited milk bread made with yeast), which is then called "Trossinger Morgensupp" (morning soup)? And did you know that the new ecological swimming pool offers the opportunity to swim without chemicals and red eyes?

As you can see, there is a lot to be discovered in this small town on the plateau of the Baar. A perfect mixture of rural idyll and urban activity is expecting you here with a lot of nature all around it. There is no doubt that Theodor Heuss, the former German Federal President, was right when he called Trossingen a "memorable" place during a visit in 1952 - taken literally, one should really remember this town.
